At the invitation of the tournament’s organizing committee, Professor Dr. Habib Ali Taher, representing Iraq, to attend the West Asian Volleyball Club Championship

A lecturer at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Karbala, President of the Iraqi Volleyball Federation, Professor Dr. Habib Ali Taher Al-Husseini, received an invitation from the Asian Federation to attend the finals of the West Asian Men’s Volleyball Club Championship.
Al-Husseini said in a statement to the Media and Relations Division that, at the invitation of the AFC and the tournament’s organizing committee, we attended the finals of the Second Asian Club Volleyball Championship, which was hosted by the Sultanate of Oman.
He explained that the Qatari Al Rayyan team won the championship title for the second time in a row by defeating Al-Kuwait of Kuwait by three clean games in the match that brought them together at the Sohar Sports Complex hall in the Sultanate of Oman.
Stressing that the tournament is one of the successful tournaments on the organizational and technical levels
He expressed his thanks to the Volleyball Federation in the Sultanate of Workers and all those responsible for the tournament
The efforts they made resulted in their success
At the conclusion of the tournament, the Federation presented the Shield of Excellence and Creativity to Dr. Habib Ali Taher Al-Husseini for his great and distinguished efforts, presence and active participation in the tournament.
It is noteworthy that 10 clubs participated in the tournament: Sohar and Al-Seeb (Oman), Al-Rayyan and Al-Arabi (Qatar), Al-Kuwait and Al-Qadisiyah (Kuwait), Baniyas (UAE), Al-Ahly (Bahrain), Al-Ibtisam (Saudi Arabia), and Shabab Al-Hussein (Jordan).
