<p>Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed the progress of the project&#8217;s executive work and its details, which include the Technical Operations Management Center, Cybersecurity, Training Halls and the Specialized Printing Center.</p>

<p>His Excellency highlighted the standard specifications with which the center was built and the specializations of the operational staffs.</p>

<p>Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed the Ministry continues to support researchers and innovators and that it will provide all possible support to support its scientific staff and enhance the space of its universities in international forums and enable them to raise the name of Iraq and its institutions in web of sciences and rankings.</p>

<p>College of Engineering, Mustansiriyah University discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the role of multiple-input-output technology in improving the effectiveness of the fifth generation and meeting the increasing communications needs in the future by the postgraduate student, Mr. Azhar Hussein Ne&#8217;ma.</p>



<p>The thesis aimed at demonstrating the effectiveness of using MIMO signal technology in communications systems to improve performance by building multiple antennas on both the transmitter and receiver according to improve capacity, reduce interference and take advantage of multipath.</p>



<p>The thesis highlighted that the rapid development of wireless communications technology requires higher data transfer rates, more efficient use of the spectrum, and greater reliability of the communication system, through the use of massive MIMO systems technology that rely on hundreds of antennas at each base station to serve dozens of users simultaneously, as well as building a detector for massive MIMO signals represents a major challenge due to the computational complexities resulting from the large number of antennas, users, and associated base stations, which leads to a poorly adapted system, as the received signal may not be modified using the matrix inversion.</p>



<p>The thesis concluded that the proposed techniques showed superior performance over traditional iterative methods in terms of signal detection, monte Carlo simulations demonstrated that the proposed detectors achieve near-ideal performance, while reducing complexity from O(〖N_T〗^3 to O(〖N_T〗^2) and reducing the number of iterations required, outperformed existing systems sensitive to high modulation orders and the proposed detectors also performed well in non-ideal&nbsp;</p>

<p>College of Science, Al-Nahrain University discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the extraction of some heavy elements using a modified polymer using chemical techniquesby the postgraduate student, Ms. Suham Alwan Shukr.</p>



<p>The thesis aimed at preparing modified polymers by reacting methyl polymer with amino compounds by condensation, which led to the production of materials with distinctive physical and chemical properties.</p>



<p>The thesis reviewed that the modified polymers have high efficiency in absorbing and removing heavy metal ions, indicating the possibility of employing this technology to reduce environmental pollution caused by industrial waste, especially in areas close to factories and power plants.</p>



<p>The thesis recommended developing this technology in the future to enhance its effectiveness in treating polluted water and improving environmental sustainability.</p>

<p>College of Science, Kirkuk University discussed a master dissertation the geochemistry and mineralogy of pyrite in limestone rocks of the Shiransh Formation by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ali Muhammad Ali.</p>



<p>The dissertation aimed at analyzing pyrite in the Shiransh Formation sequences through mineral and geochemical description and interpreting the appropriate depositional environment for its formation.</p>



<p>The thesis concluded that the Shiransh Formation consists mainly of limestone and clayey limestone from the Campanian-Upper Maastrichtian era, and is formed in a deep marine environment that is tectonically unstable.</p>



<p>The dissertation reviewed that the source rocks of the Shiransh Formation belong to igneous rocks that are medium acidic to basic, and through the ratio of Al₂O₃/SiO₂, it was shown that the formation is located within the passive continental margin and close to the active continental margin.</p>

<p>The thesis aimed at producing potatoes under the organic farming system and choosing the best variety of potato plants suitable for growth in the conditions of Basrah Governorate.</p>



<p>The thesis demonstrated that the Borin variety was significantly superior in all vegetative and productive growth characteristics, except for field emergence, in which the Rivera variety was superior, while the Borin variety was superior in the percentage of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus in the leaves, the plant&#8217;s chlorophyll content and the percentage of starch in the tubers.</p>

<p>College of Science, Kirkuk University discussed a master&#8217;s dissertation on using of pulsed LASER ablation to prepare Nano-Particles from two materials and investigated the effect of changing the mixing ratio on their properties by the postgraduate student, Ms. Fatima Mu&#8217;ayyad Ahmed.</p>



<p>The dissertation aimed at producing Nano-Particles from cobalt and nickel sheets using pulsed LASER ablation and study the effect of laser parameters on the structural and optical properties of the particles in terms of shape, size and crystal structure using advanced analysis techniques, including X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) to analyze particle size and roughness rate and X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) analysis.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The dissertation concluded that the TEM results shows a decrease in the sizes of the Nano-Particles, as the sizes of the cobalt Nano-Particles (CoNPs) ranged between 13-56 nm and the nickel nanoparticles (NiNPs) ranged between 15-64 nm, while the sizes of the Ni:Co NPs composite Nano-Particles were (20-79) nm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;College of Engineering, University of Kufa discussed a master dissertation on a study entitled &#8220;Performance Analysis of the Smart Reflective Surface for 6G Networks&#8221;&nbsp;by the postgraduate student, Ms. Zainab Ali Karam.</p>



<p>The dissertation aimed at studying the performance of communication systems supported by the smart reflective surface (IRS) in 6G networks.</p>



<p>The dissertation reviewed on channel estimation in single-user input and output (MISO) systems, with spatially correlated channels, proposing the use of deep learning (DL) to estimate direct and sequential channels and neural network was also designed to detect the channel response and maximize the possible capacity of the downlink via joint optimization of beamforming and phase modification in the smart reflective surface.</p>



<p>The dissertation highlighted that the superiority of the deep learning-based channel estimation technique over traditional methods, with noticeable performance gains across different levels of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and achieving high transmission capacity even at low SNRs.</p>

<p>The dissertation aimed at diagnosing the insect phenotypically and molecularly and study the population density of the insect on different types of citrus fruits and food preference and evaluating the efficiency of types of specialized pheromone traps for the insect.</p>



<p>The dissertation reviewed the COX 1 Gene for the insect and its accompaniment to the fruits throughout the study period and the fluctuation of its density according to the difference in regions and temperatures and the superiority of the Red Jackson trap over the white Tafri and Jackson traps in catching adults.</p>

<p>The thesis demonstrated studying the role of the Nano-envelope as a reducer and treatment for type 2 diabetes and an antioxidant.</p>



<p>The thesis reviewed conducting blood serum analyses to measure glucose levels and other tests and conducting a histological sectioning of the pancreas, as well as knowing the levels of Gene expression and mitochondrial stress proteins responsible for insulin biosynthesis.</p>
