The University of Karbala participated in the first international training and arbitration course, hosted in Najaf Governorate, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and supervised by the Department of Scientific Activities within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The course took place at the University of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.
Representing the university in this course were:
- Assistant Lecturer Diya (for the arbitration course)
- Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Issa (for the training course).
The training sessions were conducted by prominent international lecturers, including:
- Farshid Kokabi
- Asian International Lecturer Bassam Al-Sharifi.
The nomination of these lecturers by the Students’ Activities Department at the University Presidency was based on solid scientific criteria, considering their rich scientific and practical experience in racket sports and sports training. They have previously represented the University of Karbala as players and coaches in international table tennis events.
During the course, the lecturers successfully passed both the theoretical and practical exams, and at the end of the course, they were awarded participation certificates by Dr. Hassan Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in the presence of the university’s vice presidents and the head of the supervision and follow-up department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
