The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences held a scientific workshop on renewable energy

The lecturer at the College of Physical Education, Dr. Manal Dakhel Sahil, gave a lecture

The workshop aimed to introduce renewable energy as a type of energy generated from natural and inexhaustible sources, unlike non-renewable energy. The lecturer pointed out that renewable energy sources are environmentally friendly and have a positive impact on sustainable development.

The lecturer also reviewed that the percentage of renewable energy consumption globally amounted to approximately 8% of total electricity in 2017, with a significant contribution from countries such as China, the United States, India and Japan.

This lecture comes as part of the college’s efforts to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable energy and its role in preserving the environment and meeting the needs of future generations
