The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organized a specialized training workshop titled “Refereeing Mechanics for Three Officials in Basketball,” with the attendance of faculty members and individuals interested in the field of sports officiating.
The workshop was led by Dr. Suad Saad and international referee Mr. Mohammed Reda Abdul-Hussein. The session focused on the essential technical methods related to the movement of referees on the court during basketball games, as well as the distribution of roles and responsibilities among the three referees to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and accuracy in making officiating decisions.
The workshop also included practical applications and illustrative examples on proper movement techniques on the court, contributing to improving refereeing standards and enhancing athletic performance.
Participants praised the importance of the topic presented and appreciated the efforts of the college in organizing such workshops that enhance the skills of professionals in the sports field and contribute to raising the standards of local refereeing.
