The Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Karbala, organized a training course titled “First Aid and Sports Injuries.” The course was delivered by Assistant Lecturers Abdullah Issa and Abbas Khalil and attended by a group of students and sports enthusiasts.
The course focused on the importance of first aid in managing common sports injuries, such as fractures, sprains, cuts, and muscle injuries, that athletes may encounter during physical activities. It included practical demonstrations on handling emergencies and providing primary care until professional medical assistance arrives.
The lecturers emphasized the need for coaches and athletes to acquire first aid skills to ensure prompt intervention during injuries, which can minimize complications and accelerate recovery.
Participants responded positively to the course, commending its relevance and importance in promoting health awareness and preventing injuries during sports activities.
