The Karbala University table tennis team achieved a new achievement by winning third place in the Iraqi Universities Championship, which was held at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, with the participation of 40 Iraqi universities.
The team competed in the fourth group, and was able to defeat 7 universities to reach the semi-finals, winning third place equally with the Mosul University team.
The team was represented by Professor Dr. Haider Salman Mohsen and Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Issa, under the leadership of the Assistant Lecturer Diaa Muhammad Mahdi, and the delegation was headed by Assistant Lecturer Barakat Muhammad Ali. This is the team’s second successive achievement after achieving outstanding results in the previous tournament.
