Karbala University Futsal Team achieved an important victory over its counterpart, the Islamic University team, in the Middle Euphrates Universities Championship Qualifiers hosted by Babylon University. The Karbala University team showed a distinguished performance and was able to excel in the match that witnessed intense competition.
The team coach, Captain Mohammed Bajay, expressed his happiness with this victory and praised the great efforts made by the players on the field. Bajay also extended his thanks and appreciation to the President of the University, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, for his continuous support for the team and all sports activities at the university, which reflects the university’s interest in developing sports among its students.
Bajay added: “I thank the Dean of the College of Physical Education, Dr. Khaled Mohammed, and all the players and the technical and administrative staff of the team, Professor Hussein Makki, Head of the Student Activities Department, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Murtaza, as well as Assistant Coach Ali Subhi, who played a pivotal role in achieving this achievement.”
This victory enhances the team’s hopes of continuing to compete and raising the name of Karbala University in sports forums.
