The College of Physical Education, in cooperation with the Iraqi Tennis Federation, Karbala branch, is holding an initial introductory course for the game of tennis

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Iraqi Tennis Federation, Karbala branch, held an initial training course in tennis, with the participation of a number of college students and young athletes from different provinces.
Present at the session was the international tennis coach, Muhammad Moaz, the coordinator of the International Federation for the game in Iraq, and the international coach, Ihsan Abdul Latif, head of the competitions committee of the federation and professor in the student activities department headed by the University of Karbala, and the coaches of the Karbala Federation, coach Farid Al-Wazni and coach Ali Sobhi.
The head of the Karbala Tennis Federation, Professor Samer Al-Amiri, said in a statement to the College’s Media Division that the course aimed to prepare trainers to increase the base of the game in the governorate, as they are the basis for producing new young players, indicating that the course dealt with practical lectures on how to train young people, nutrition, organizing groups, the five playing positions, group training, and the educational unit for youngsters. And theoretical lectures that included the definition of mini tennis, methods of testing players, and the basic tactic of the player
Al-Amiri expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Dean of the College for its efforts to make the course a success by preparing halls and stadiums for this purpose.
At the end of the course, certificates of participation were distributed to the participants, who in turn praised everyone’s efforts.
