The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, in collaboration with the Student Activities Department, organized a special celebration on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her). The event was attended by a number of female students and faculty members.
The celebration included the distribution of flowers to the students as a gesture of joy for this blessed occasion. Dr. Suad Saad, the head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, stated, “Celebrating the birth of Lady Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her) reflects our commitment to honoring our Islamic icons, who represent exemplary models of patience, perseverance, and adherence to principles.”
She added, “Lady Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her) is not only the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him and His Family), but also a symbol of virtue, dignity, and an inspiration to generations. This occasion serves as a time for reflection and drawing lessons for our daily lives.”
The event concluded with a call to enhance awareness of religious occasions and to follow the values and principles embodied by Lady Al-Zahra (Peace Be Upon Her). This, the organizers emphasized, has a profound impact on strengthening Islamic values and reinforcing cultural identity among young generations.
