The College of Physical Education Organizes a Course on Free Radicals, Oxidative Stress, and Their Impact on Athletic Performance

The Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Theoretical Sciences at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, organized a scientific course titled: “Free Radicals and Oxidative Stress: Concepts, Treatment Methods, and Their Impact on Athletic Performance.”

The course was delivered by Dr. Hussein Alaaoui Abd, Professor Dr. Alaa Faleh, and Assistant Lecturer Moayad Fakhri. It addressed the definition of free radicals and oxidative stress, their negative effects on the body and athletic performance, and the latest scientific methods for treatment and prevention. Additionally, the course emphasized the role of these strategies in improving athletes’ performance.

The course witnessed significant interaction from participants, highlighting the importance of balancing physical activity with overall health care to achieve athletic success. This course aligns with the college’s efforts to enhance health and scientific awareness among students and those interested in the field of sports.
