Professor Dr. Haider Salman, representative of the Academics Syndicate at the College of Physical Education at the University of Karbala, participated in the meeting of the Karbala Academics Syndicate Council with representatives of the Syndicate from government and private colleges. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Munir Al-Dami, the Dean of Academics.
Dr. Salman explained that the meeting discussed several important files, including the file of following up on the allocation of plots of land to lecturers, and the file of lecturers’ dues related to allowances, differences, and differences for new hires. The Dean of Academics confirmed that they will be disbursed after two months, in addition to listening to the demands of lecturers and working to meet them to improve the academic work environment and enhance their rights.
Dr. Salman pointed out the importance of this meeting in unifying efforts between the representatives of the Syndicate, which contributes to strengthening the voice of academics before the concerned parties, and working to achieve the entitlements of lecturers in an effective and rapid manner. He also called for continuing periodic meetings to enhance cooperation and exchange ideas that would raise the level of education and scientific research in universities
