On Wednesday, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala organized an educational symposium entitled “Violence in the Sports Field.” The lecture was presented by the assistant lecturer (Zahraa Salem Hussein and Ayat Hussein Ali), and addressed the definition of sports violence and hooliganism from a physiological perspective, noting that it represents an attempted assault on the values regulating sports activities.
The symposium aimed to explain how exaggerated joy over victory turns into crises and riots, causing losses and attacks on lives and property.
It is noteworthy that the Women’s Affairs Department in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research stressed the importance of adopting programs that promote good morals and provide a positive environment for students.
