The President of the University of Karbala inaugurates the football field and athletics track in the College of Physical Education

The President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, inaugurated the new football field and athletics track at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. This came during an official ceremony held for this purpose in the presence of the Dean of the College of Physical Education, Dr. Khaled Muhammad Reda, professors, employees and students of the college, and a number of department officials in the university presidency. The opening ceremony witnessed the holding of many sporting events and competitions

The Dean of the College stated in a statement to the Department of Media and Relations that the opening of this stadium and track is an important step towards developing the sports infrastructure at the university and providing an integrated educational and sports environment for students. This achievement comes within the framework of the University of Karbala’s endeavor to support sports activities and develop students’ skills in the fields of athletics.

He expressed his thanks and gratitude to the President of the University for his continued support for the completion of this distinguished sports edifice, which is considered a qualitative addition to the facilities of the University of Karbala, which contributes to enhancing sports activities and provides greater opportunities for students to participate in sports events and competitions. The University looks forward to achieving further development in the future to be a leader in Field of sports education.

At the conclusion of the celebration, prizes were distributed to the male and female students who won advanced positions in the competitions. The student, Muhammad Hussein Karim, won the 100-meter race, the student Karar Wathiq won second place, while Muhammad Saad Habib won third place. In the female race, the student Zainab Ali won first place, while Jannat Ahmed won. Muhammad ranked second The third place went to the student Zahraa Haider. In the 4*100 relay race, the male team of Division C, the second stage, won first place. As for the female students, the fourth stage team achieved first place.
