The Dean’s Championship was concluded in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, which was organized by the College’s Student Activities Division, with the participation of 27 teams representing professors and undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The official of the Student Activities Division at the college, M. Dr. Mazen Jalil, in a statement to the Media and Public Relations Department, said that the team of the third stage, Division A, won the championship title after defeating the team of the fourth stage, Division B, with eight goals to two in the final match that brought the two teams together on the five-ball court in the college, in the presence of large academic and student audiences, explaining that the tournament aims to enhance The physical and health aspect, strengthening the bonds between professors and college students, as well as encouraging them to participate and practice sports activities, and cultivating the spirit of love and cooperation among them, based on the principles of a healthy mind in a healthy body.
Jalil added that after the final match, awards and medals were distributed to the winning team, while the award for the best player in the match was awarded to the student Hussein Saeed, and the player Dirgham Muhammad was awarded the championship scorer award, while the student Muhammad Talib was chosen as the best goalkeeper.
