A training course at the Faculty of Physical Education on: Military media and international protection

The Division of Continuing Education, in cooperation with the Media Division of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, organized a training course entitled (War Correspondent and International Protection) for a period of three days and in the discussion hall in the college, with the participation and presence of the Media Department and its divisions at the University of Karbala and a number of faculty members and employees and a number of students.
Assistant Lecturer Saeb Muhammad Nazim, a teacher at the college and one of the lecturers in the course, said: During my lecture, I dealt with the legal aspect regarding the international protection of the journalist, as the media men participate in reporting the event, and the truth of what is happening on the battlefield, so they may be victims of armed conflicts.
In a related context, the journalist, Tariq Al-Khafaji, Director of the Media Division at the College, confirmed: I delivered a qualitative lecture entitled (The War Correspondent and the Challenges of the Field Message), which dealt with the challenges, dangers, and abnormal conditions facing the war correspondent while covering the news of battles on the battle fronts, as well as the advantages that the war correspondent has. and the journalistic arts he uses.
For her part, the journalist, Wasan Al-Baldawi, gave a lecture entitled (The basics of media, its concept, types, forms, effects and functions). She also explained the concept of new media or what is called digital media. Then she spoke about the most important characteristic of a war correspondent, the most important of which is the high sense of responsibility, credibility, professionalism, and non-intimidation. For the truth and not her critic.
It is worth mentioning that the door for dialogue and discussion was opened with the attendees to find out their views on what was presented during the session.
