Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Habib Ali Taher, the college, in cooperation with the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and in the college’s discussion hall, organized an awareness-raising scientific course entitled (Environmental pollution and its impact on human health).
The assistant dean for administrative affairs and the session rapporteur, the assistant professor Dr. Abbas Abdel Hamza Kazem, the teacher Dr. Sawsan Darwish, and the assistant teacher Manal Dakhil Sakhil, both teaching staff at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, attended the course and the course lasted for three days.
The course aimed to learn about environmental pollution, air pollution and its impact on human health. And know the things and causes that must be reduced to reduce air pollution.
The course explained the concept of environmental pollution, its types, how it occurs, the extent of its impact, how to deal with pollutants in the air, the possibility of reducing them as much as possible and limiting the causes of pollution that negatively affect the health of the individual and society in particular and the living organism in general.
The course recommended the need to preserve the health of the individual and society as much as possible by reducing pollutants that negatively affect human health, primarily because it is the basic building block of society.
It is worth noting that a number of faculty members from the faculty and staff, and a number of students from the faculties of physical education and the faculty of applied medical sciences participated in the course.
