Dr. Hussein Manati Sajt, rapporteur of the theoretical sciences branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, participated in the four-day Asian training course for Iraqi referees, organized by the Iraqi Basketball Federation under the direct supervision of the Asian Basketball Federation FIBA.
Dr. Hussain Sajit Manati said in a statement to the college media:
All referees working by the Iraqi Basketball Federation were invited to be classified by the Asian Federation, and to renew licenses for the arena referees and international table referees, and 48 referees from all governorates of the country participated in the course.
He added, “The international referee, Marwan Aigo, of Lebanese nationality, is present at the session.”
It is worth mentioning that the course included theoretical and practical lectures, as well as practical and theoretical tests for referees, to determine their physical levels and their knowledge of how to apply the law with the last amendment of FIBA.
